Cookie Policy

1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit byselma.be. Some are needed for the site to work, others help us measure its audience or show you relevant ads. The site also uses your browser's local storage, which works the same way.
2. Your choice
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, refuse or customise cookies. Only necessary cookies are set without your consent. You can change your mind at any time by deleting cookies in your browser settings: the banner will then be shown to you again.
3. Necessary cookies
They make the site work and cannot be switched off: cart, secure checkout, language and country, login to your account, and remembering your cookie choice. They are set by Shopify, our sales platform, and by Consentmo, the tool that manages your consent (for example localization, cart_currency, cart, _tracking_consent, secure_customer_sig).
4. Preference and functionality cookies
They make your visit more pleasant: recently viewed products, your box selection, windows already closed, the Passeport BY SELMA loyalty programme (Joy), customer reviews (Judge.me) and back-in-stock alerts (Stok).
5. Analytics cookies
They help us understand how the site is used (page views, journeys, performance) so we can improve it. They are set by Shopify (for example _shopify_y, _shopify_s) and are only enabled with your consent.
6. Marketing cookies
They measure the effectiveness of our ads and show you relevant ads on social media. They are set by Meta (Facebook and Instagram, for example _fbp) and by TikTok (for example _ttp, ttcsid), only with your consent.
7. Retention period
Cookies are kept for a maximum of 13 months. Your consent choice is kept for the same period, after which the banner is shown again.
